When Jesus said that soon He will leave His disciples and go to the Father, Thomas immediately objected saying “Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?” With his skeptical objection Thomas opened the opportunity for Jesus to make one of the most beautiful and very important statements in the whole Bible: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
